About
Meta-Mathematician, Independent Open Source Software Engineer, Computer Language Researcher and Designer, Type Theorist, Computer Scientist, Climate Science Researcher and Disseminator, Environmentalist, Vegan.
I am working on a decentralized communications solution called The Outernet for the purposes of both providing an alternative to the technofeudal nightmare and also dealing with the possible civilizational collapse from Climate Change.
I am also working on a general purpose systems programming and meta language called SOOL, standing for Simple/Sophisticated/Static Object Oriented Language, initially as an experimental research language design, designed as an orthoganlly complete semantic superset of the existing Object Oriented Languages. It is intended in the medium term as both a parallel and as a possible successor to C++, C, Java, Kotlin, Scala, and TypeScript. The meta facilities will allow all sorts clever techniques allowing the migration of existing code bases to SOOL, to a higher level of description, or translation and code generation into other existing languages.
SOOL is designed to restore software development into being a proper scientific and engineering discipline, both by being a well formed, well typed language at all levels of its strata, and also by design allowing the eventually incorporation of the whole of computation.
